About Refugee Relief Initiative
History
Our story started way back 2016. A Revelation From God to Our President - Mrs. Antoinette Sangye
RRI is a faith-based non-profit organization and volunteer based non-governmental humanitarian organization registered in Ohio – USA, operating in Africa. We partner with other organizations, individuals, churches, and community leaders to support asylum seekers, refugees, and displaced persons and connect them with resources and available opportunities in their host communities. We provide various educational, empowerment, and training opportunities to support asylum seekers, refugees, and internally displaced persons in becoming self-reliant and financially independent hence reduce poverty, while increasing living standard.

To empower refugees, asylum seekers, and displaced persons with knowledge, skills, and opportunities to become self-reliant and live with dignity.

Connect
We Connect vital information, basic items, and resources from partners, like other NGOs, Faith-Based organizations, and individuals, and host community partner agencies to asylum seekers, refugees, displaced persons.
Educate
We provide education in different fields as need arises. We equally key into health education that encompasses emotional health, physical and mental health, social health (promote interaction and adaptation is the host community), sexual and reproductive health (including family planning and contraceptives) and spiritual and counseling services via workshops, seminars, presentations and via RRI connect with other agencies in the host communities. We also Educate by providing financial assistance & school supplies to Persons Of Concern, refugees, and IDPs. Empower
We trains POCs, refugees, and displaced persons via skills acquisition workshops such pastry making, household cleaning products (e. g bleach, soap, detergent, etc), and provide empowerment in the form of start up capital to enable them to start petty trades to sustain their families.
RRI also empowers refugee or displaced children by providing tuition assistance and school supplies to based on severe financial hardship

- Trained over 10,000+ refugees and IDPs on different skills
- Agricultural empowerment within asylum seekers, refugees, and IDPs
- In 2021, we handle over 3000+ asylum seekers, refugees, and IDPs on operation feed and cloth a POC
- Multiple job placement for asylum seekers, refugees, and IDPs
- Partnered with the Nigeria Immigration Service to stop human trafficking.
- Supported diverse medical bills within asylum seekers, refugees, and IDPs.
